As a group we brainstormed possible topics we could base our documentary on. Under 3 of our chosen topics we have assessed both the positives (green) and negatives (red) of us using this topic as the basis of our documentary. 

TASK 9: PROGRESS STATEMENT 1

Task 9: Group Statement.

As a group we have completed all tasks from one to eight successfully, we are feeling very positive about our progression. It is very important that we know this information before we begin in order to form a proper idea that will work and be achievable. Through the tasks we have completed so creation, genre and modes of documentary, which is vital for the creation of our own film. We have also learnt about theory and how it applies to documentary making, the most important being Bill Nichols' documentary modes as it is most relevant to modern documentary making. In addition to this we have established the most important conventions of documentaries. Together this will help us when we are creating our documentary and in our exams.

For our A2 coursework we have been given the task of creating a 5 minute extract of a television documentary (40 marks) , alongside this main task we must also produce a radio advertisment (10 marks) and a double page spread of a magazine (10 marks) both to promote our documentary. In addition to this we must; research, plan and evaluate our work (40 marks).Totalling 100 marks for our coursework. All of this to be presented electronically in this blog.
